The Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra commenced with vigor in Haryana

Programs held in 59 gram panchayats on the first day, 47000 people participated

Chandigarh– The Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra, initiated by Prime Minister Sh Narendra Modi on November 15, 2023, with the vision of transforming developing India into a developed nation within the next 25 years, has gained significant momentum in Haryana. Chief Minister Sh Manohar Lal has innovatively shaped this yatra by integrating it with Jan Samvad. On November 30, 2023, the Chief Minister inaugurated the state-wide Viksit Bharat Sankalp Jansamvad Yatra from Fatehpur Biloch village in Faridabad, whereas Cabinet ministers, MPs, and MLAs commenced the yatra in all districts.

        On the inaugural day, diverse programs orgainzed in 59 gram panchayats across all 22 districts. Approximately 47000 individuals actively participated in these events, delivering a resounding message of public engagement. Notably, over 19000 women registered their presence. Participants collectively pledged their commitment to propel India towards developed status.

More than 7400 health camps were organized

        Throughout the Yatra, information about various programs including informative sessions about the welfare schemes implemented by both the Central and State Governments, aimed at uplifting the most marginalized members of society in alignment with the Antyodaya Darshan are being organized. Eligible citizens are promptly receiving the benefits of these schemes on-site. Furthermore, as part of the Nirogi Haryana Scheme, free health checkups are being conducted for individuals, with over 7400 health camps organized on the inaugural day alone. In addition, more than 3500 people underwent screening for TB as part of this initiative.

Beneficiaries of the schemes told their success stories and inspired others

Within the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Jansamvad Yatra, beneficiaries of schemes implemented by both the Central and State Governments shared their success stories, serving as inspiration for others to leverage these initiatives. Through the “Meri Kahani-Meri Jubani” program, around 400 individuals recounted how they accessed information about the schemes and achieved economic progress by availing themselves of the opportunities provided. The people at the event not only praised their spirit but also wholeheartedly endorsed and supported the government’s schemes.

Women and children were honored

On the inaugural day’s programs, the administration bestowed honors upon women achievers, talented students, local athletes, and artists who had made noteworthy contributions. Recognizing approximately 400 women, 1300 students, around 200 athletes, and about 100 artists, these felicitation ceremonies serve to inspire others to strive for excellence and uniqueness in their pursuits. Beyond individual recognition, these events underscore the government’s sustained commitment to women’s empowerment. The aim of the Yatra is to ensure the saturation of government schemes into every village and household, with the vision that every Indian makes an unparalleled contribution towards the realization of a developed India.
