Smoking, genetics, bad eating habits and lifestyle are the causes of kidney disease: Dr. Aneja

In such a situation, World Kidney Day is celebrated every year on 14 March to spread awareness about its health. These days, due to rapidly changing lifestyle and wrong eating habits, people become victims of many problems. Every year in India, approximately 2 lakh people become victims of kidney related diseases. The biggest reason for this is that this disease is not detected in the initial stage. After 60 percent damage of both the kidneys, its symptoms start appearing on the body.
The number of people affected by kidney disease is increasing rapidly not only in India but all over the world. So to prevent kidney related problems, regular checkups and a healthy lifestyle are very important. Regular health checkups are essential to monitor kidney function and detect symptoms of kidney disease early. Early detection allows timely action and care. Chronic stress can increase the chances of developing high blood pressure, which is a risk factor for kidney disease. Try meditation, deep breathing exercises or enjoying a hobby to reduce stress. Aim for 7-9 hours of deep sleep every night. Poor sleep quality and inadequate sleep duration can negatively impact kidney function and overall health.
Lifestyle, lack of exercise and smoking etc. are the main causes of kidney disease. Dr. Aneja told that to keep the kidneys healthy, take care of these things, take time for yourself regularly, exercise is essential for a healthy life, include yoga and walk in your daily routine, pay special attention to your diet, include salt in the food. And reduce the amount of fat, include fresh fruits and vegetables in your diet, live a stress-free life, if there is high stress, control it through yoga and meditation, stop smoking completely, it is bad for the kidneys as well. It is the cause of many diseases, get enough sleep for a healthy body. Stay fit and avoid sedentary lifestyle, eat a healthy balanced diet, check and manage blood sugar levels, check and maintain blood pressure levels, drink adequate fluids (8 cups, approximately 2 liters per day) Avoid tobacco consumption, avoid regular intake of non-steroidal anti-inflammatories (NSAIDS).
