In view of Lok Sabha elections, arms license holders should deposit their weapons: SS Bhoria

The process of canceling the license of the license holder who does not deposit the weapon will be implemented.

Kurukshetra,(Rana). Kurukshetra Police has issued an advisory in view of the Lok Sabha elections . Issuing the advisory, Superintendent Kurukshetra Mr. Surendra Singh Bhoria said that arms license holders should deposit their licensed weapons with the nearest police station or authorized arms dealers .

Giving this information, police spokesperson Naresh Kumar said that Superintendent Kurukshetra Mr. Surendra Singh Bhoria issued instructions saying that Lok Sabha elections have been announced by the Election Commission. With the announcement of elections, Model Code of Conduct has also come into force in district Kurukshetra. The Superintendent of Police said that in order to conduct the elections in a peaceful, fair and fear-free environment, license holders should deposit their weapons without any delay at their nearest police station or authorized arms dealers . The Superintendent of Police has given instructions to all the police stations and outpost in-charges that all the people who have licensed weapons in their area should ensure to deposit their weapons in the concerned police station or authorized gun house before the elections.

He said that any person can deposit his weapons with authorized arms dealers other than the police station, but it is mandatory to show the receipt for depositing the weapons in the concerned police station. No one should have any weapon during elections. Action will be taken against those who do not deposit their licensed weapons . Along with this, if he is found involved in spreading unrest, his arms license will be canceled and a report will be sent to the administration. If the arms license holder does not deposit his arms, then the process of cancellation of the license will be implemented by stopping the renewal of his arms license .

Appealing to the general public, the Superintendent of Police said that arms license holders should deposit their licensed weapons with the nearest police station or authorized arms dealers and cooperate with the police administration in conducting the elections peacefully.
