Kurukshetra,(Rana) . The play Kambakht Ishq was staged in the weekly evening by Haryana Kala Parishad. Under the direction of Shyam Kumar, the artists of Natsamrat Delhi depicted the truth of the life of the elderly in an interesting manner. On this occasion, Superintendent Engineer of North Haryana Electricity Distribution Corporation, Ashok Yadav arrived as the chief guest. Before the program, Haryana Kala Parishad Director Nagendra Sharma welcomed the chief guest by presenting him a bouquet. The stage was moderated by Vikas Sharma. The play Kambakkht Ishq, written by Satyaprakash and directed by Shyam Kumar, tickled the people a lot. The plot of the play revolves around two elderly people who have no time for their children. Due to busy lives and lack of love for children, elders attract the attention of children under the guise of love. The story begins in a doctor’s clinic, where Leela’s mother Mrs. Radha and Jai’s father Mr. Mehta come to get their treatment. Both of them enjoy each other’s company in the clinic itself. Both the elders start looking for excuses to meet each other again and again.

The troubles of their children increase further when the two elders fall in love and start meeting secretly as soon as their children go out. When children come to know about their parents’ love affair, they start keeping both their parents locked in their room. One day an elderly woman lies to her daughter that she is pregnant and the child is Mr. Mehta’s. His doctor also supports him in this lie.

The children give in and agree to this marriage. But the elders do not find it right to resort to lies and they tell the truth to their children that they have not done anything wrong, due to which our children have to live with their heads bowed in the society. Jai and Leela feel sorry for their parents’ loneliness and feel ashamed of not giving them time themselves. And in the end the children get the elders married. A light and entertaining story was presented by the artists in an interesting style.

In the end, chief guest Ashok Yadav honored the artists and shared his thoughts and said that children should never leave their parents to struggle with loneliness. In today’s nuclear family, where children are confined to themselves, they should take care of their parents in the same way as they take care of their own children. Nagendra Sharma expressed his gratitude by presenting a memento to the chief guest.
