Kurukshetra,(Rana).District Election Officer and Deputy Commissioner Shantanu Sharma said that for organizing rallies, public meetings and putting up flex, banners, posters etc. in Kurukshetra district, all political parties will have to take permission from the Assistant Election Officer (ARO) of the concerned assembly constituency. Venues for rallies and public meetings have been earmarked at 13 places in this district. Apart from this, 27 places in urban areas and 404 places in rural areas have been earmarked for pasting materials like hoardings, flex, posters, banners etc. Apart from these designated places, no publicity material will be allowed to be pasted at any place. In case of disobeying these orders, action as per rules will be taken against the concerned.
District Election Officer Shantanu Sharma said that the schedule of Lok Sabha General Election-2024 has been released by the Election Commission of India and Chief Electoral Officer Haryana Chandigarh, according to this schedule there will be gazette notification on April 29 and the process of nomination will start, 6 May will be the last day for filing nomination papers, nomination papers will be scrutinized on May 7, candidates can withdraw their nomination papers till May 9, after this voting will be held on May 25 and counting of votes will be done on June 4. Will go. To conduct these Lok Sabha elections in a fair, transparent and peaceful manner, everyone will have to follow the model code of conduct. He said that political parties and candidates contesting elections will be given permission to hold rallies, public meetings, and flex-banners etc. for election campaign in all the four constituencies including 11- Ladwa, 12 -Shahbad (SC), 13-Thanesar, 14-Pihova. Space has been earmarked for the blocks etc. falling under it.
He said that 4 places have been earmarked for the rally in Thanesar assembly constituency. Apart from this, 8 places have been earmarked for putting up posters, banners, hoardings, flex publicity materials in the urban areas of Thanesar Assembly and 50 places in the rural areas. Similarly, 5 places have been identified for the rally in Ladwa assembly constituency and 155 places have been identified for publicity material in rural areas and 11 places in urban areas. The District Election Officer said that 2 places have been earmarked for rallies in Shahbad assembly constituency, while 103 places have been earmarked in rural areas and 4 in urban areas for pasting publicity materials. In Pehowa assembly constituency, 3 places have been earmarked for rallies and 4 places in urban areas and 96 places in rural areas have been identified for putting up posters, banners etc.
He said that for organizing rallies and putting up publicity material, one will have to apply to the Assistant Election Officer cum SDM of the concerned assembly constituency and the rally and publicity material can be posted only after the permission of the Assistant Election Officer. All political parties are being repeatedly requested to follow the Model Code of Conduct to conduct the Lok Sabha General Elections-2024 peacefully, everyone has to celebrate this great festival of voting together.
